REVIEW: ON19 AT THE WESTIN CAPE TOWN

Over looking the Cape Town City Bowl, On19 at The Westin Cape Town sits at the top floor of this prestigious, landmark hotel. The restaurant showcases 360 degree views of our spectacularly beautiful city.

19On’s menu has great options for anyone, and any diet. My lunch choice was hazelnut gnocchi with forest mushrooms and white wine buerre blanc, a creamy sauce and parmesan shavings. It’s usually served with confit duck, but the menu offers a vegetarian option without it. I added a side of fresh buttery, herb-tossed vegetables (which were baby carrots, tender steam broccoli, mangetout and baby corn) just for a little greenery. And I’m a sucker for beautifully plated food, and great service, so this place is an award winner in my books.
