Location, location, location! After shopping around the African nik-nak stalls in Jubilee Square – sooth your sweet tooth cravings with a treat. I Love Waffles is a great place to spoil the kids. Catch a glimpse of the working harbor from the parlour, and if you’re lucky, there may even be a penguin that floats by. Let the kids take off their shoes and have a paddle in the shallow waters on the beach at low-tide.
Culture rich and full of history, Simon’s Town should definitely be on your list of places to visit when in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. We had been advised to head through to try out this new restaurant by a few locals – and we certainly weren’t disappointed!
Jade and I loved the Ferrero Rocher topping on a classic waffle, served with chocolate ice-cream soft serve. We had to share as we were heading too lunch (yes, we did things a little backwards, I know). I think a whole one might have been to much of an over indulgence, but it was lovely. The waffles were fresh and the toppings was super tasty.
We’ve also heard the sundaes are amazing. Definitely heading back soon for a gourmet sandwich – the Fungi Buddha has my name on it!
Follow them on Social: Facebook. Find I Love Waffles at Shop 6 & 7, Quayside Centre, Wharf Street in Simonstown. You can access the building from Jubilee Square too. There is a lot of parking around the area – just make sure you park legally otherwise you are going to come back to a fairly heavy fine on your windshield.
