REVIEW: MYMASSAGE, GREENPOINT

Fall in love with taking care of yourself. Reset. Maintain and Recover. And try to take time out of your week for some ‘me time’.

Although, we’re all for a good #selfcaresunday, Saturdays should be about self-love too! We had the most relaxing and rejuvenating 60 minute, Full Body ‘Reset’ massage at the beautiful, new massage studio called MyMassage in Greenpoint, Cape Town recently – and we left feeling like we were on top of the world!

2018 has definitely not gone as planned, but something I think I have seemed to get right (or at least on the right track) is finding balance between living and working, and everything in between – we are definitely getting somewhere. Part of my goals for this year was to spend more time on myself and with two facials down and now this magical massage, I’m feeling the the outstanding goals are ready to be met.

This is almost going to be remembered as my year of firsts. This was my first massage! Brenda, my masseuse, was very kind and made me feel very comfortable in the situation. Being my first time, I was a little nervous stripping off and snuggling under the towel, but once relaxed (so many beautiful smells in the room, with heated beds and the most calming music playing) I was ready to have all the stress of the year massaged away. I’m not going to lie, it was a firm massage. But I knew my body needed it.

Something that I REALLY loved about the studio is that it’s 100% gender neutral. No pink walls and frilly cushions. Don’t get me wrong, I do love a good girly spa day out, but when there’s no gender to the room, it’s totally inclusive for everyone. And then everyone gets a good spa day and some relaxing ‘me-time’ which is super well deserved. And that makes me happy.

I walked out of there feeling like a new person, relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to take on the last 4 months of the year. Full steam a head!

PS Also, There is plenty of free off-street and paid street parking around the location, but if there’s a car guard, please give them a little tip or something to eat. We’re all working on putting good things out there because we’re better people in 2018. The universe is a great place.
